A. D.
« on: August 20, 2009, 11:24:40 PM »
Hail’s bells echo through the town of A.D. They announce the coming of something often heard to be a legend. Though a legend, the town’s people fled, leaving the place hollow. The earth beneath it trembles as steam rushes to the surface, cracking the pavement and shaking the earth. As the ground trembles in agony a figure of godly proportions appears amongst the mist. Every confident step spoke volumes. The clink clack of chains gliding across the pavement chimed chillingly through the heavy air.

Bold, she is, dear Tessa. Even the brave feel fear yet she still stands. Chills creep up her spine as she waits for what is to come.  He legs quiver and her back shudders as her mind floods with doubt. But dear Tessa can’t go back now.
“I see they brought out the saints,” A low, dark, and mysterious voice speaks.

Tessa’s eyes shoot up to find an angelic being towering over her. It appeared to be female and a striking one at that. Its beauty drew Tessa in. Tessa had to shake herself out of the trance the being had put her in. The moment she felt sound, she was belted to the ground. The being was quick. Neither instance did Tessa feel its movement.

“Aw come on.” The being grunts and moans. “I would think this world could do better than this. At least give me a challenge,” She complains.

Her voice rang sweetly in Tessa’s ears, putting her into yet another trance. The girl had to figure something out. If she didn’t, this being would surely kill her. Her eyes flicker up to the being once more and darken.

“What is your name, you soulless creature,” Tessa questions with fire on every spoken word, almost daring the being.  A frown grazes her face as she pulls herself to her feet.

“Eh?” The creature looks at Tessa with an arched brow and wide baby blue eyes. “Ah and she speaks,” the being notes. “My name, dear child, is Nevaeh,” she responds.

Tessa’s big brown eyes flicker up again. She is not to be underestimated. She could tell that she was being underestimated. Breathing deeply she pulls a small blade from a hilt at her side. Its golden tip sparkled and caught Nevaeh’s eye.

“Oooo pretty,” Nevaeh exclaims sarcastically, swinging her massive chains around with a large smirk across her face.
Wasting no time, Tessa charges head on. She glides across the ground wit great speed, aiming a foot at Nevaeh’s legs in an attempt to sweep the creature off her feet. Nevaeh was wise though. Her height was often attacked with the same method of aiming for her legs and it became a bit redundant. She rolled her eyes as Tessa approached her. Though fast, Tessa was still slow in comparison to Nevaeh. Raising her chains to the air, she preps for an abusive attack. Just as Tessa reaches her, Nevaeh hounds her arm down, sending the massive chains on a collision course with Tessa’s leg. Maybe she was to be underestimated.

The chains clink and clatter across the pavement as Nevaeh drags them away from Tessa’s wounded leg. Tessa moaned and whined as the pain traveled through her body.

Bored already with Tessa’s attempt, Nevaeh decided to end the so called battle. “They should have trained you better,” Nevaeh adds while aiming the chains at Tessa’a head.  “No use in even trying with a broken leg.” She huffs. “You pity excuse for a Virtue.”

Spitting at Nevaeh’s feet Tessa’s warns. “Xalvadora….”

Cut short by the pressure of Nevaeh’s hold on her neck. Tessa couldn’t speak let alone breathe.

“Doesn’t exist,” Nevaeh finishes Tessa’s statement and then proceeds to rip the vocal chords right out of Tessa’s throat, dragging out the rest of the girl’s neck along with them. “Hmmm, I forgot to ask for her name.”

(So this is my first post, woot, and it is currently the story I'm working on. I love feedback on how it's coming along. Hopefully I can get a page or two in each day or two and Hopefully you like.  )

Elegant they are; every step taken gracefully and soundlessly. Their beauty is beyond that of human proportion, astounding, enchanting, and spell binding. Only the strong willed can stand to look at them and even then it’s a struggle.

Nevaeh hovers over Tessa’s body erect and poised. Her eyes lower, looking grimly passed the hideous sight that is Tessa. He baby blues look to her side as she feels two other insanely godlike presences in the air.

“Quite brutal, Nevaeh,” one speaks from the shadows of an alley with a hint of a sadistic little smile in its tone.

“It was too short for me to enjoy,” another mysterious and dark voice chimes in.

“We are not here to enjoy ourselves, Leah, and if that was brutal then I’d like to know a greater word for the things you’ve done, Angelus,” Nevaeh retorts.

Taking their soundless and elegant steps, the two appear. The shadows disappear and their beautiful forms emerge. Angelus, the more handsome of the two, stood tall and angelic. His curly golden locks swept pass his shoulders and draped themselves around his firm biceps as he stood before Nevaeh. He had chilling pale blue eyes that pierced the darkness and his exceedingly fair skin almost glowed.

Leah had a more feminine touch to his shape. He was slender, his skin was fair, and he carried a head of brilliant brunette locks that trickled to the nape of his neck.

Nevaeh spun around to look at her comrades and stood in front of Angelus as his equal in beauty. She lowered her upper body into welcoming bow. The two men returned the same gesture as a sign of respect.

“What’s next on the ‘to do list,’” the eager Leah questions.

Nevaeh ignores the question and  turns he cold stare to the bells that rung. Hails bells annoyed her so. Angelus followed her stare and smirked.

“Every time we destroy those damned bell, they seem to come right back,” Angelus muses. He puts his palm to the sky and shields the bells from his sight. He closes his fist and smiles at the sound of yielding metal. “Better?”

Nevaeh nods with her baby blues on the crumbled, soundless bells. “We need to make it look like she succeeded rather than failed.”

Spotting Nevaeh’s tear stained cheeks, Angelus arched his brow. Leah tilted his head and wondered what it was that had Nevaeh silently crying. “Is there something wrong” he questions.

Nevaeh didn’t turn to him or respond. She held in her last tears as Angelus began to answer.

“No, nothing’s wrong.” Angelus wraps an arm around Leah and pulls him in closer. “Everything is going as planned.” He takes his palm and places it in front of Leah’s face.  Closing his fish, he turns his head away from the sound of crackling bone. Leah’s arms flail but Angelus’ hold on the being’s shoulders keeps the fist from hitting him. He drops, Leah after the body went limp. “I was wondering why we were sent with such a weakling like Leah. Our lil sacrificial lamb.”

Not responding to his comment, Nevaeh begins to walk away. “Make it look realistic,” she commands.

(so i had more work this semester than last. >< But i'm not forgetting this story. Stupid school and work.. V.V)
