Neither Juron nor Pandora knew how to handle the situation that they found themselves in. Nothing had been explained to them until they'd both climbed into the rather questionable looking transport plane and took to the air. Juron had refused to look out the tiny window even after Laura's 'suggestion' knowing she'd see Mikhail standing down there, obviously aware by then what had happened right under his nose and unable to do anything about it. Once Karlheinz had joined them, she knew that it was over, she just hoped that instead of sniffing around he left before Adalinda decided to do something with him and went back to his brother.

Laura told them that they were going to a small island miles off the coast of Scotland, they were going on a 'rescue' mission to retriever Adalinda Knapp's dear Dietrich Schneider who found himself locked up in a castle of sorts surrounded by Scottish soldiers who were hard-pressed to let the German man go and Adalinda was growing impatient with waiting  for him to return to her. It seemed to Juron that this was a last-minute thing that Adalinda had going on. From what Mariah had said before Pandora blew the woman's face off Adalinda had expected them all to die-- and they hadn't, so she had them do something a bit more... productive? Juron didn't expect that Adalinda wanted them to die without bringing this German man back in one piece, maybe then she'd decide that Pandora and her no longer needed to live and kill them. But Juron had other plans when they got back to Russia. She was going to blow that goddamned woman's head off once and for all. Then she was going to locate Mikhail, tell him she loved him and that he had damn well come home to her once the war was over because she was not going to be raising a child on her own. And then she would do exactly what he'd wanted the entire time and go home and wait for him.

Their plane had made it as far as Norway, where Laura obviously thought they were going to try and run even though they were in German territory and kept her little pistol on the two women the entire time as they made their way from one plane to another. Inside they were forced into German uniforms to look like every other German soldier and they were off again, the pilot flying the four of them the rest of the way to the island they were to parachute down into and begin their search for Dietrich.

Once they neared their destination the parachutes went on and the door they were to jump out of was opened. Without any warning Laura shoved them both out before following them down herself, pulling the chord that released her 'chute.

Karlheinz was the final member of the four-man team to jump out of the paratrooper plane, fluttering to the ground with the aid of the parachute above him.  He had done this a dozen times before, and not many people believed him when he said he jumped out of a plane for a living.  It wasn't his passion in life, though.  It was acting, and it was his superb imitation skills which caught the attention of Adalinda Knapp -- who wanted to use his skills for her own needs.  While at first he wasn't convinced about leaving the army, she promised him that he was still going to be part of the army -- it was just a very special part of it indeed.

He landed on the ground with no trouble at all, unclipping the parachute and stashing it away underneath some bushes just like he had told Pandora and Juron to.  Wiping away some leaves from his knees, he walked over to the three women to share the plan.  Laura already knew it, but the two guest members of the team probably needed it to be said to them again.

"What's wrong, girls?  You both look lovely in those uniforms."  He raised his MP40, keeping it as high as his hips.  "But you girls remember to keep those colours on, alright?  This is a German operation, and we can't have you two running off to the men in kilts telling them that you're actually on their side.  Me and Laura will be keeping a close eye on you."  Sure, there was the danger of the two women ganging up on him and Laura -- but Adalinda had had a quiet word with the pair and Karlheinz had a funny feeling that what ever was said to them both -- they wouldn't be causing much of a problem.

"The castle is a little bit to the north.  You stay with us, and don't try anything smart."  He warned, looking over to Laura.  Karlheinz wasn't exactly enthusiastic about being paired with Laura and these two women -- in fact, the German actor wasn't exactly sure of what Adalinda was playing at.  Dietrich needed rescued, he got that part.  So why send in just two Germans -- and these two women who would like nothing more than to ruin Ada's plans?

Their landing hadn't been the softest of landings but when neither of the women have ever found themselves attached to a parachute before what did they expect? After pulling herself to her feet and fighting her way out from under the oversized fabric Pandora had fought with unclipping it which only resulted in her getting put into a worse mood than she already was and needing Juron's help with removing it. The Canadian was pissed, she was pissed the very minute they were forced to get onto the plane and do Adalinda Knapp's bidding. After Laura had informed them of what it was exactly that they were doing, it only added to her foul mood but she'd kept silent the entire time and now that they were on the damned island she couldn't see it improving. They hadn't even been giving the opportunity to arm themselves against whoever decided to attack them because they might turn on Laura and Karlheinz instead.

Even without a weapon, it was a thought that passed through Pandora's mind as the two women stashed their parachutes away where Karlheinz had told them to. But it wasn't the smartest idea for them, or for the lives that Adalinda happily threatened. She wasn't sure if Adalinda would go through with it and kill them anyways but she was willing to play along just to get back and do what she was pretty sure Juron herself had been thinking about doing as well-- making sure Adalinda Knapp actually stayed dead this time.

Laura gave the two women a smile at Karlheinz's warning. She was going to enjoy this little adventure of theirs and she hoped that at least one of them would act up enough for her to shoot one. "You're going to be keeping ahead of us, and like Karl said-- don't be trying anything smart. Neither of us have a problem with shooting you down like a rabid dog and telling Adalinda that you didn't cooperate like instructed. But if you really wanted to, go for it. I wouldn't mind making the trip back that much quicker."

Juron eyed the assault rifle in Laura's right hand and the pistol that was holstered at her side. The woman had picked up the rifle before they'd jumped out, and she wondered if it would be possible to disarm the woman and shoot them both when they least expected it before they had the chance to shoot her and Pandora in the back. The Norwegian woman could see the anger sitting in her eyes, hoping that it wouldn't burst out and get them both into trouble when neither could defend themselves or had a plan to make the tables turn for them. She hated the uniforms that they had been forced into, but there wasn't much she could do so there was no point in bitching about it.

"Exactly how do you know that Dietrich is where he's supposed to be?" Pandora asked feeling the need to finally say something after being quiet for so long. "Or even still alive."

Laura smiled raising her rifle up so that it was level with Pandora's chest, her finger sitting on the trigger, "the only questions I expect to be coming out of your mouth is 'which way' and that's it. Now get moving." With a nod of her head in the direction she wanted the two unhappy 'helpers' to go she started off in a slow walk behind them. She was in no hurry, Dietrich wasn't going anywhere.

"He's dead.  This is a waste of time coming here.  We're going to get to the castle and he'll be gone."  Karlheinz muttered in a quiet moan to Laura.  "If she really thought he was still alive, she would have sent in more than four people to get him.  Especially when two of those people need babysat."  He said, keeping a watchful eye for any Scottish soldiers.  Intelligence reports -- and Adalinda's intelligence was always right -- said that there were very few soldiers on this island.  Mainly down to the fact that it was of zero importance, and the only reason there actually was soldiers here was because there was a prisoner of war in the castle.

"I heard they don't even get on anymore."  Karlheinz continued, knowing fine well that the one person who wasn't going to agree with him was Laura.  She was Adalinda's biggest fan, the girl who would do anything to make sure that Adalinda got what she wanted.  At least she could be counted on to fire a weapon.  "He probably won't even want to go back with us when we bust him out."

The island itself was rather nice, little sign of civilization except for the occasional farm house they could see in the distance.  Most of it was woodland and streams, with a wide river separating the small, circular piece of land in two.  Karlheinz wasn't in the mood for swimming or getting himself wet, so he was hoping that the Scottish Army had built some kind of bridge for them to cross over.  "You know Adalinda more than I do.  Does she really want these two kept alive once we get Dietrich?"

Laura Fassbinder wasn't going to lie; she really did not like Karlheinz anymore than she liked the two women that were walking head of the German pair through the woodland of the island. If she'd had it her way, she would have picked someone else to come along with her on this trip but Adalinda had been insistant that it be Karlheinz, that he was the best for the job. Laura knew that Karl was going to end up moaning most of the time about the little rescue-mission they had been set out on, and she was prepared to deal with it. It didn't irritate her any less though when he sunk into the gossip about Adalinda and Dietrich. She'd heard it before and it was true that right now the two of them weren't on the best of terms, but they always seemed to sort their own issues out more often than not so the Germa girl did not see the point in getting involved with the gossip. Unfortunately she couldn't say the same thing for Karlheinz.

"If they make it all the way without magically being shot, we're to bring them back with us." Laura replied to his question, her eyes never leaving the backs of the women ahead of her. She did not trust either of the women, but since they weren't armed she wasn't too concerned about them trying anything funny. She'd gun them down if they were stupid enough to try. "I'm not sure about the importance of them both though, Adalinda seemed more keen on the arrival of the Norwegian than the other. Guess she didn't cause Fraulein Knapp as much of a problem as the other."

Despite the situation that they found themselves in, Pandora was hard pressed to not enjoy their little walk that they were subjected to, to reach the castle. Neither of the women still had said anything once they started walking, merely keeping themselves in silence in case one of the other two decided their talk was 'suspicious' and 'dealt' with them. Pandora still did not understand the point in this rescue mission they were tossed into, and why Adalinda Knapp had believed that the two of them were reliable enough to get through it. They were defenseless, and if they got shot down then her two lackeys would be left on their own against who knew how many Scottish soldiers they still had yet to see any sign of.

"I feel like we're a warning system for the two." Juron muttered under her breath, glancing at Pandora who couldn't help but smirk faintly. "They're too scared to walk ahead of us themselves, or even arm us to help defend. I've already been shot twice in two day. The worst they can do is actually shoot me in a place where I'm not going to recover from it again."

"Oh, I'm sure they're tempted to Juro. Just make sure you don't give them a reason to."

Juron snickered shrugging her shoulders as if to say 'so what?'. "We could take them."

"Quiet!" Laura barked jabbing Pandora in the back with her rifle, they weren't far enough ahead for the German woman to not be able to reach them, and their English conversation did not sit well with the woman who couldn't understand what they were saying. They could be plotting.

Sometimes Karlheinz wondered why he was fighting for Adalinda.  At times, it felt like they weren't fighting for the right side, that their affiliation with the German woman wasn't like being in the army.  Germany was on a decline, there was no question about it.  Their enemies were closing in from all sides but north, and their territory was shrinking every day.  It was only a matter of time before they were defeated (something which Karlheinz did not like to think about).  It was the reason why Dietrich Schneider had been caught in the first place.  He caught on, he was smart and knew that Germany was a lost cause.  He hitched a ride on a submarine and bribed the crew to abandon the navy -- setting sail to South America.  Adalinda wasn't aware of it, though.  For all she knew, he had just been on a routine mission abroad and he was captured.

Karlheinz told them all to stop when he saw the castle up ahead.  Grabbing the pair of binoculars from his belt, he pressed them to his eyes and scouted the area in the distance.  "OK.  I see four... five guards on the outside.  No wait -- six.  God knows how many are inside."  He passed the binoculars to Laura so she could look through them, while he walked over to Juron and Pandora.  "On your knees, hands behind your heads."  He said.  "If I see any of you move your hand an inch -- even to scratch your nose -- I'll shoot you."  He warned, walking off in the distance and lighting up a cigarette.

The castle was small, little more than four small towers connected by stonework.  None of the soldiers looked particularly prepared for an invasion or an attack, they'd probably been posted here for the duration of the war and hadn't shot a bullet in years.  Karlheinz hoped that that would come to their advantage, especially when they had two members on their team that they couldn't quite trust.  Bad idea.  Such a bad, bad idea this was.

Laura shoved her booted foot into Pandora's back when the Canadian didn't do as Karlheinz told her fast enough. She heard the woman groan as she was forced down with her face nearly going into the dirt floor beneath her. Her dislike for the two was quite obvious, especially after the stories that Adalinda had told her about these two and the other three that were now apparently dead. She knew that there should have been some concern about these two getting the upper hand on them but she had heard what Adalinda threatened them with. She'd been there for that, and she knew that so long as they were still alive that they weren't going to go out of their way to try anything.

Moving past them, Laura stood beside Karlheinz looking down from the hill that the four of them were on. The castle and its guards were in plain sight and from where she stood she could see the four that he'd spotted. The other two she'd seen when peering through his binoculars. Taking the cigarette from Karlheinz's fingers she stubbed it out on the floor giving him a disgusted look. "Honestly, you know I can't stand the smell of those things. Do it on your own time."

Shifting her attention back to the situation at hand Laura glanced back at the two women who were still on their knees, Pandora having righted herself after Laura had removed her boot from the woman's back. "What do you think Karl? Send them down first? See if they can round up a rifle or two to defend themselves and have them take out as many soldiers as they can before we bother getting involved? If they die... well it won't matter. Adalinda already said if they got shot down, they get shot down."

Karlheinz couldn't believe it when Laura grabbed the cigarette from his mouth and put it out on the grass.  It was the first one he had had since they arrived on this god damn island, and she thought she could just take it from him and throw it away?  In protest, he pulled out the crumpled packet from his jacket and was disgusted to find that that was the last one he had.  Karlheinz couldn't remember smoking that many so quickly, and his suspicions lay with Laura, who he started to mentally accuse of throwing away his cigarettes before they went on this mission.  The German tossed the packet away and spun round on the spot, keeping an eye on the two kneeling women.

"Yeah.  I think we send them running down that hill.  You run right for the castle and don't stop.  We'll give you some covering fire from up here, take out a few of the guards and you take their guns."  Crouching down, he grabbed Pandora's chin and forced her to look at him.  "And if I hear you crying in anything other than German, I'm going to use this little mission to practice shooting at moving targest."  He warned, giving her a forced smile.

"OK."  Karlheinz said as he stood back up, looking over at his German comrade before turning his attention back to the kneeling women.  "If you don't screw this up, you might still get off this island."

The urge to spit in Karlheinz's face rose within Pandora as soon as he grabbed her chin, just feeling his grimy hands on her skin was enough to make her reach out and deck him but she didn't. Instead Pandora refused to look away from him when he forced her head in his direction because she knew it would show weakness, and Pandora was far from being a weak individual. She could see it in his eyes, as well as in his voice that he was just dying for them to give him a reason to shoot them down where they were but the joke was on him, both women wanted off this island and back to were their precious Adalinda was stationed so they were willing to go along with their little plan until it resulted in him getting shot instead. Maybe she'd be the one who'd get to do it. Yes, that would be nice... drive a bullet right through his skull after thinking he could man handle her the way he was.

"Joke's on you," Pandora said rising to her feet with Juron once Karlheinz had stepped back from her, "I don't even know how to speak German in case you didn't know..."

Juron shoved Pandora from behind as they quickly made their way past Laura and Karlheinz, both keeping their heads together to figure out the best way to get near the castle without being shot in the face.

"Do you really think they'll believe we're German's?"

"Enough so that they wont hesitate to fire at us like our friends want them to... Panda, there's only one way I can see this working... we run out from the trees as soon as Laura and Karlheinz start firing their weapons and we beat them into submission."

"Aww, but I just got my nails done!" Pandora's grin on her lips died at Juron's hard look, letting out a sigh she nodded her head. "Of course, we're going to have to stay in sight of those two so they don't think we're planning on running."

Juron nodded her head in agreement before slipping her hand into Pandora's and making a run for it down the hill. They got close to bursting out of the trees and into plain sight of the soldiers that they were ambushing when the first sound of their 'backup' gunfire came from Laura's rifle. Letting go of Pandora's hand Juron ran to the left while the Canadian turned right, giving themselves a big enough gap between each other so that if one got spotted, the other wouldn't.

Juron took out the nearest soldier to her that didn't see her coming, bringing her elbow up into the side of his face with as much force as she could to bring him down. She could still hear the firing from Laura and Karlheinz and only hoped that one of their bullets didn't actually hit her or Pandora.

Picking up the downed soldiers rifle she swung around just as two more soldiers burst out from the building and she groaned in irritation. "Seriously? Do we need more than this?" Pandora had already wrangled a rifle from one of the Scots and shot him point blank in the chest surprising even Juron how quickly she'd done that.

It left one in front of them, one that was quicker than the others and shot Juron right in the leg. The Norwegian's leg buckled under her, bringing her down to her knees just as Pandora retaliated and shot the soldier in response. "Seriously!" Juron screamed pressing down on her knee to stop the blood. "Why am I always the one being shot? This is getting absolutely ridiculous!"

"Easy target I guess, or someone just enjoys seeing you suffer." Pandora sighed taking a good look around for any more men to come out of nowhere and shoot them.
