Otric marched along keeping a close eye on everything and everyone. She didn't know why she cared about these people, but something about them seemed to make her feel as if she should watch them. Otric wasn't sure if it was because they were just as lost as she was, or the fact that they helped her out of a really bad situation.

Coming into the clearing with the rocks Otric looked around. There had been miles high of rock at one time, but now only stood hills and caverns made by the rocks falling. "This place wouldn't be bad for a good place to stay," she agreed for a momment, "but then again, it would be a great place for an ambush too. We would have to set up all sorts of things along those cliffs to make sure no one can come behind us." She pointed to a few places that she could see that looked like something from one of the planets that she had hunted on.  Endor was good for their hills and cliffs, and the best place to set up a sniper shot would be to lay low between two of the hills and cliffs. "But it definatly is a good spot for lunch," she chuckled as she placed her grail into an empty slot.

"This one is good," one of the men agreed.  "But not so good I'd stop in the middle of the day.  If we can find good we can find better."

The rest of the men nodded.  "Well, that's decided then, we can keep right on moving, in a pinch good eyes on watch are better than walls anyway.  That's odd," she pondered.  "I can see better at a distance than I could before."

Otric couldn't help but smile to herself. It was funny how the men tried to think like it was their idea, had she not pointed out the flaws in the mix of the cliffs and hills they would of been more than happy to stay where they were. She couldn't help but slightly chuckle to herself and agree with the men, no sense in hurting their feelings now, they were feeling useful.

As Otric gathered her grail and looked at the others she couldn't help but wonder how far they had traveled, and why they had traveled to where they were. When the woman spoke she looked puzzled, "What do you mean? I see no different than normal."

"I've never been able to see things well far away, but now I can," Diana shrugged.

"I'm a lot thinner than I was," one of the men chimed in.  "I was downright plump before."

"Now that you mention it, I do seem to be a little more nimble than I was, I hurt my left leg here a few years ago, it always usually bothers me after running, it doesn't hurt now," Otric looked down at her leg, where a scar at been, there was nothing. She had a bomb explode on her years ago that had left something in her leg, it didn't really mess her leg up to much, just had left a few torn tendents and a really ugly scar. Otric looked around at the others that started to realize that things were different about them. "Now this is really strange, I tell ya, this has to be some sort of dream, there is no way that you can just appear some place and have nothing wrong with you," Otric was really thinking more out loud rather than to the others, but after a few momments she just shrugged it off.

"Either way, everyone, we need to eat our lunch and start moving again, we have wasted enough time just standing here doing nothing," Otric was in a hurry to get out of the open, she never was fond of the open and she wanted to get some place where she knew that she could start being safe.

As soon as the great hum came and went to signal the power that refilled their grails they found that more could be found in them than normal, a knife, fork and spoon of good solid metal could be found in each, as well as a few needles and a small spool of thread as well.  This took the place of the place of the ration of cloth that seemed to come to regularly, but there was also a small stoppered glass vial of some form of glue as well.

Diana stashed the extras away after she finished eating, and set aside the bread, alcohol, hemp leaf and tobacco that came with each delivery.  "Trade goods," she replied to the unasked questions, "and a bit of a store for a rainy day as well.  You just never know."

"Good idea," Otric smiled at the woman and then sat down and stashed her own stuff, the needle and thread would come into handy for making better clothing. The clothing she had on was not something she was used to. She was more used to full armor and weapons. Having very little on made her feel uncomfortable and vulnerable.

Otric finished her lunch quietly, the whole time she ate she watched around the cliffs, she had an uneasy feeling and she couldn't get it down. You could swear something, or someone was watching her, or them, she was unsure, all she knew was she wanted to get out of the open and find a place to make camp. She knew that the people they had fought off earlier, would probably find some way to look for them. She was almost sure of it. There was nothing nice about them and she knew that she had to keep herself safe.

After a few momments of silence from her she finally looked at the people around her, "When you guys are ready, I suggest we move. Something doesn't feel right about this place," She said with some urgency.

The rest seemed to agree with Otric, packing away their meager belongings and hurrying along the beach.

"We're seeing less people," one of the men commented.  "I wonder if those we saw were all that were put here?"

"There were many that seemed to have been here longer," another commented.

"I mean if that place is the spot where people are released or if we'll see more?" The first clarified.

"Good question," the third nodded but said nothing else.

"I think we're going to be walking for several days if we want to make sure we're not going to be elbow to bum with people, and problems." Diana added.  "Or do we want to settle at all?  People settle to raise food and for shelter, but we've no notion of weather here, nor do we have any reason to grow food as we're fed thrice daily.  This place has us set to be the lilies of the field, no reason to toil."

Otric listened to the people chatter around her. She was doing her own thinking. Things had seemed odd at first, but the further they moved along the more odd it seemed to get. They were feed thrice a day, they never had to worry about food, but then again, how long would that last? Was that just something to get them started, or was it just something that was going to last until they died. Then that brought in another question to her, do they die on this world? So many people had said that they were different, even herself noticed that her leg was better that day, so was it possible to even die on this world? And if you did die in this world would you just be reborn again out of the sea?

Otric continued to looked around as they walked, when finally she wasn't sure what to think anymore she went up beside Diana, "Hey, I know we haven't really been formly introduced, my name is Otric. But that really doesn't seem to matter in this world." Otric kind of sighed to herself for a momment, "Have you ever heard of anything like this place before? It is so confusing. Everyone has questions, but how do we answer them when we have questions of our own. This place seems as strange as strange can get, don't you agree?" Otric glanced at the Diana for a momment and then started to look around where they walked.

"Diana," she nodded to Otric.  "I don't know, maybe this is what's meant by the afterlife?  If it is then they got it wrong, unless this is purgatory, where people go to see if they go to heaven or hell.  It seems a magical place, and a terribly strange one.  Nothing I've every heard of describes this place."

"Magical isn't exactly the word I would use, those men wanted us dead for sure. The look in their eyes weren't a magical thing," Otric couldn't help but chuckle at Diana's use of the word magical. "As far as the heaven and hell goes, I have no idea what your talking about. But whatever it is, we need to figure out why we are here and how to get home." All she wanted was off this planet and to find a place back home. She couldn't imagine what was happeneing to her house right now. Probably someone was already turning her stuff into straps.

"Maybe its across the water," Diana pointed out.  "Its fresh though, not sea.  It might empty into the sea though, and from there we might find our homes.  But I don't think I know anything in these skies to sail by."

"I doubt it," Otric shrugged at the Diana, "I've never seen a place like this on any of the planets around my home worlds. This could be some place maybe on Talus or Rori, but the tree's are all wrong." Otric admitted slightly.

Otric looked at her puzzled, "What are you talking about? What are wales?" Otric was completly confused now. She had never heard of these things Diana was talking about. "Where I come from Diana, we can travel from one planet to another without a problem. It would be like going from the beach to the woods here, but we used different ships and shuttles to get to the places we need to. I am not sure what you are talking about though." Otric looked around the place that they were walking.

"Wales is over by Ireland," she replied with a shrug.  "Though I've never been there.  I've never been to Planet either, but I've been out fishing on a ship on the sea, and I've seen the Vikings come to us from it.  You must be from even farther away than Wales not to have heard of it, maybe from the East?"

Otric couldn't help but starting laughing, she didn't mean to. But Diana had called her 'home' planet, as if it was a name of the world, "I'm sorry Diana, I don't know what any of that is. This place you call a planet, are more than one. There is a total of like seven of them. Maybe even more. The planet that I came from is called Rori. It looks nothing like this and sounds like nothing you describe. I guess maybe we are from different worlds all together?" Otric smiled at Diana. She had this odd feeling that some how or another worlds were mixed. She didn't know how this was possible, there was no way, not even with the techonology that the Empire has that could do something like that.

Otric chuckled slightly, "Well if it makes you feel any better. I have never even heard of this place you talk of. Never a day in my life. I'm assuming the next thing your going to tell me is that you've never heard of the Empire," Otric was trying to get an understanding of what Diana was coming from, or where she had come from for that matter.

Otric shook her head, she was extremly confused on what Diana was talking about. She had never heard of a place called Rome, nor a place called France. It all seemed a little odd to her that this woman was talking about gibberish places. It didn't make any sense to her and it was starting to affect her head. Her head started to hurt, she was getting a slight headache from trying to understand what was going on. "Well I know nothing of these places you talk about. I will admit, and I won't do this often, but I am hightly confused as to what your talking about." Otric looked down at the ground in front of her. "Here soon we might want to think about finding a place to camp for the night, it looks like it's getitng dark. We need to set up some way to have a few people keep a watch out and take turns doing it throughout the night." Otric changed the conversation back to something she knew about.

"And we're getting nowhere at all trying to figure out where the other lives," she agreed.  "I smell water in the air, I think we'll see rain soon.  The rocks are far from the beach now, so its find something in the woods to make shelter, or get wet on the beach."

"Lets look in the woods to see if there's anything to drag out," One of the men recommended.  "And get our grails in the grotto, no sense being hungry and wet."

"Look for firewood too," another chimed in.

"Why don't you two keep watch," the last said to Otric and Diana, "we'll make a quick search."

"Fine," Diana said with a flat look at them all.  "But don't get too use to us being poor little womenfolk."

She looked at Otric and sighed as the men dashed into the woods.  "Men can be so simple."

Otric agreed with the others and with Diana, "Yes they can. I think they feel almost as if their ego's are being hurt. Let's see how well they do when it comes to shelter and the wood. Otherwise, we might have to show them up a little huh?" Otric winked at Diana with a giggle in her voice.

"Now the question is, what exactly are we looking out for in these woods. I wish we knew exactly what type of creatures lurked about, and how many unfriendly people are out and about," Otric had said out loud. She didn't mean to, she was just thinking. Something didn't seem right about this place and she couldn't figure it out exactly.
